After a busy summer of driving, three upcoming JMS prospects are off to Valencia Spain for the Formula BMW USA scholarship shoot-out.
David Ostella, Gian Marco Raimondo, and Mikael Grenier will be competing for the five scholarships provided by BMW USA in order to help fund their rookie seasons in the Formula BMW USA championship. To prepare for the competition, each driver has driven our JMS race cars at circuits in Ontario and Quebec for as many as nine days this summer.
All three drivers are top talents in the North American kart racing scene. David Ostella is 15 years old, and lives in Maple Ontario. Gianmarco Raimondo is 17 years old, and lives in St. Catharines Ontario. Mikael Grenier is 14 years old, and lives in Stoneham Quebec.
As JMS prepares our plans for the 2008 racing season, we are quite impressed by the skills of these talented young Canadian pilots such that we may again run full-time in the 2008 Formula BMW USA championship to help develop drivers for our higher-level teams such as with Champ Car Atlantic. |
