(San Jose, California – July 24, 2007) Champ Car will again take over the streets of downtown San Jose California this July 27th-29th for some action packed high-speed racing, and one of the most exciting stories will be the debut of the new team INTERVISION TEAM JENSEN.
INTERVISION TEAM JENSEN will enter car #22 in the Champ Car Atlantic race driven by veteran American driver Steve Ott who hails from Denver Colorado. This ride is a homecoming since Ott enjoyed considerable success during his four races driving for the Jensen MotorSport team in 2006. Ott shocked the Atlantic community by clocking the pole time in qualifying for round #5 at Cleveland in just his 3rd race in the series, and followed this result with other strong performances in the Jensen MotorSport car including a 3rd place at the Cleveland Grand Prix.
InterVision Systems is the primary sponsor partner of the new #22 Jensen team entry. InterVision is a home town team at the San Jose Grand Prix, with their headquarters in nearby Santa Clara. CEO of InterVision Jeff Kaiser states, “We partnered with Jensen for the inaugural San Jose race in 2005, and are excited to expand our relationship this year. We really want a shot at winning the 2007 race, and it’s exciting having a driver of Steve’s calibre.”
