Frankie Muniz will finish his rookie year of racing in the Formula BMW USA championship with an appearance at the BMW World Finals in Valencia Spain on the weekend of November 24th -26th.
The BMW World Finals will feature 38 drivers from the four global BMW championships (U.S.A., Germany, England, and Asia).
Jensen MotorSport team owner Eric Jensen states, “This should be an amazing experience for Frankie. By the time he races in Spain, Frankie will have had 12 days of testing in the significantly more powerful Champ Car Atlantic race car, which should help him a lot as he returns to the cockpit of the BMW.”
Jensen continues, “Frankie had a good learning season in the 2006 Formula BMW USA championship. He never finished in the top 10, but he was regularly challenging to finish there, only to make the type of mistakes common among rookies. It’s not so glamorous getting your education in front of public eyes, but that is the nature of racing. Frankie progressed exceptionally well all season, and our team is excited to see how well he does in Spain now that he has had so much more testing time.”
Frankie’s Formula BMW race car leaves Atlanta Georgia today, and will be shipped by air to Valencia.
