 Jensen MotorSport is pleased to announce that David Farias will join the team for his first year of competition in the 2006 Formula BMW USA championship.
David (16), who lives in Mexico City, will drive the #20 race car for Jensen MotorSport starting at the Carolina MotorSport Park official series test on April 29th and 30th. David’s first race competition will occur at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on the weekend of May 19th-21st.
David has achieved some impressive results in Mexican kart championships over the past few years, David finished 2nd in the 125cc national class in 2005, and 2nd in the 80 cc national class in 2004.
Jensen BMW Team Manager Remco Mutsaerts states, “David was impressive while testing for our team.. He is quick and learns well. He is a terrific addition to our team this year.”
Jensen MotorSport is competing in several race series in 2006, including Formula BMW USA and ChampCar Atlantic. The team also works with our corporate partners to leverage the power of racing to fulfill their marketing objectives.
